Encore
Product Designer · Concert Ticketing App Concept · 2-Week Sprint · 2024

Overview
Buying a concert ticket shouldn't feel like losing a lottery you paid to enter.
Encore is a fan-first ticketing experience built on verified access, transparent queues, and fair resale, designed to restore trust in live music.
Research
Fans don't hate paying. They hate not knowing.
Desk research and fan-forum analysis surfaced four patterns: opaque queues that erode trust, hidden fees designed into checkout, bots emptying inventory in seconds, and fans who feel betrayed by the system itself. They’ll pay fair prices, just not hidden markups.

One decision
Verify the fan before the queue so the queue can be honest.
Onboarding confirms fan identity before anyone enters the ticket line, which makes everything downstream fair by default: real people in a visible queue, prices without surprise fees, and resale that serves fans instead of scalpers.

Outcome
A fair system, end to end.
Four core flows: Onboarding, Purchase, Resale, Wallet replace the anxiety of a broken system with a calm, fan-first journey.
